The Power Editor and Precision Targeting

Advertising and lead generating with extreme precision through the Power Editor

Advertising with Power Editor

In our last blog post, Facebook Advertising For Your Listings, we briefly mentioned the Facebook Power Editor and how it can be used to precisely target advertisements. The purpose of this post is to give you more insight on what the power editor can do and how it works with other advertising systems.

First off, let's start with the basics. You must create a business manager account. After doing so, you can claim your Facebook Business Page as an account to advertise through and submit your payment information. Now you will have access to the Ads Manager and Power Editor.

The Ads Manager and Power Editor share the same purpose of creating advertisements. The main difference is the Power Editor offers more precision and more analytics.

Why do I want to use the Ads Manager/Power Editor?

What it comes down to is precision. When you launch advertisements you want to make sure it's targeting the right audience. For example, if you install the Facebook Pixel into your website then you are able to target everybody that has visited your website in the last specified amount of days. This can be extremely powerful if you want to increase your web presence.

This technique also works with mobile app downloads. If you ran an advertisement to people within a 25-mile radius of your location offering your branded Keller Williams mobile app then you can create a custom audience based off of those people who downloaded your mobile app. Not only will you see what properties they're viewing on your app but you can also set up an advertising funnel and retarget only those who have downloaded your app with new advertisements.

The power and precision of Facebook advertising is nothing to overlook.

As you can see, there are more than enough targeting options to be precise about who you serve an advertisement too. More precision means less inefficiency and wasted marketing dollars.

What campaign objectives can I optimize for?

Awareness: The purpose of this optimization is to put your advertisements in front of as many advertisements as possible.

  • Brand Awareness
  • Reach

Consideration: Consideration will try to find the audience that is most likely looking for a solution to their problem. These are the best objectives when your audience is familiar with who you are but they need more information.

  • Traffic
  • Engagement
  • App Install
  • Video Views
  • Lead Generation

Conversion: The last objective type is optimized to close the deal. For real estate, we want people to visit our website or landing page and fill out their contact information because they're ready to work with us.

  • Conversions
  • Product Catalog Sales
  • Store Visits

With a proper strategy and understanding of Facebook advertising, you have the capability to amass leads from social media. The last step is continuously optimizing and executing on your marketing strategy.
